The Plucking Shed is published by Cinnamon press. W. N. Herbert has said of Gill's poetry “she has an intriguing, eerie focus on natural phenomena”. Helena Nelson says of the collection “these poems are like jewels, luminous and compelling (but by no means reassuring).”

A good night yesterday June 28th at Alexanders, compered joyfully by Leih Steggall. There were some really wonderful - funny and touching - readings from Mandy Coe, the guest poet for the evening. Mandy's new collection of poetry for children: "If you could see laughter" is due to be published in September 2010 (Salt.
